Here's a NEWS FLASH!

Diplomacy doesn't work.

Unless the talks already involve allies or something as simple as taking a 3% tariff off bulbs from Holland.

With anyone that thinks we need bringing down or taken advantage of, "talks" are just an excuse to get together at a table then all go to an expensive diplomat's luncheon in New York. Unless we're giving something that is so big that it overrides why the talks and diplomacy are needed, say $3 billion or rocket science to a tyrant in the middle East or open borders so the people searching for a better life can come in our living rooms and take it.

(if they relax a little, Obama will eventually confiscate it and give it to them anyway!)

The answer: Let's just throw the borders wide open, TAKE Mexico for our own and open a few Arby's and Walmarts down there. They're already growing 30% of the produce we get at the supermarket, why are they coming here to pick radishes?

Confiscating their oil would just be an added benefit.

We've backed up on so many arguments (diplomacy) that we let the dissenters in Arizona throw rocks and bottles at the police. We've got it so Politically Incorrect that if the police

make an arrest, THEY'RE roasted over the MS media grill as if they were doing something more far reaching than taking troublemakers off the streets. "Why, ummmm, errrrr, it's illegal to keep illegals off of the streets of Tucson and out of the country!"

Meanwhile the border between Guatemala and Southern Mexico is locked tight and heavily guarded PLUS the penalties very sever for entering Mexico from the South.

The President of Mexico has warned that his people should boycott Arizona because they would be treated unfairly…and the Mayor of San Francisco declared Arizona a place to stay away from.

Yeah, that'll teach Arizona a lesson! Those may be the main two positive results to have come from the signing of Bill 1070. This should also cause Texas to follow suit. Rush Limbaugh made a great statement about Arizona PAYING for a one way ticket for illegals to go to San Francisco (...or to whatever city is advocating amnesty!) via Amtrak or Trail-ways bus at AZ expense!

I think that's a terrific solution.

The Bill #1070 states that if someone/something is arousing suspicion they can be required to show proof of their citizenry. It's the same for everybody in the USA!

What is the big deal about having to have an I.D?

I've traveled to many parts of Europe and always have my Identification at the ready.

I don't leave my house to drive 2 miles to get groceries without my driver's license, insurance proof or proof of registration.

It doesn't make me want to club a policeman.

This do nothing, bowing and scraping, thinks-he's-about-half-smart President is terrific with 20-20 hindsight when the buck is being passed. He's great at getting the criminal element to voice their opinions through rock & bottle throwing intimidation Chicago-style but he's yet to find his footing in America...

"We have a huge problem with crooks coming up from Mexico to our cities and towns, committing crimes, and bolting back south of the border. Not long ago, I wrote a story that backtracked the records of two of these border coyotes and found that between them, they'd been arrested and released by either law enforcement or the courts a total of 35 times.

One was let go after a traffic stop, and the other had worked construction in Phoenix for years. If this law had been in effect, the police might've been able to get them off the street before they were able to lead more groups into southern Arizona, break into homes, and frighten citizens.

Civil rights? What about the civil right of American citizens to drive up to their homes at night and have some reasonable assurance that no one is inside!

They live by a rule of thumb: If you leave your house empty, it will be occupied by illegals or drug smugglers. We're not talking just about homes five miles from the international line. We're talking about homes up to sixty miles north of the border."The farther you get from the line, the more people want to make this problem about race. It's the ground the left wants to fight on because it's so effective. Political correctness shuts people up and keeps the border open.

Arizona has had enough and seen enough. This bill, admittedly flawed, motivated in part by anger and frustration, is an effort to step in and do something about a serious national problem on our southern border that grows more dangerous all the time.

But the national media largely ignore it because it offers up the wrong victims and the wrong politics. They don't send reporters out to Arizona get the story, to walk the smuggling trails, to sit with beleaguered Americans at their kitchen tables and understand the torment their lives have become."

Something had and STILL has to be done about our porous borders. I commend Arizona for having the chutzpa to "Just do something"! California probably won't but I hope Texas takes it on too!

The flagrant disregard of law in day to day discourse (Thanks to the likes of the worthless ACLU among others) just turns everything into meaningless mush and the masses, for good or evil, behave as they choose. This country was built on laws and when the winds of "change" blow them down, what will we as a nation have to stand on?

Under the misnomer of "dialogue" and "diplomacy" nothing ever gets done, except giving huge sums of money, i.e. bribes to grease the squeaky wheel.

We've been playing "defense only" for quite some time because we don't want to ruffle anyone's feathers or commit to doing something. If it's only defense we're gonna play on the borders to our South or with the oil cartels & those that would harm the USA as in N. Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Pakistan, the Saudi's etc etc, then we can never move forward, only lose ground!

We can't lose any friends, they're already just sitting on the top fence railing and watching us fall apart. (Some of our supposed allies even enjoying it!)

Sending a few pilotless "drones" overhead to cherry pick the enemy leaders is a case in point.

The Terrorists are blowing up men, women, children in markets, Mosques & train stations and

we're trying to eliminate collateral damage by putting a small bomb through a small window and into somebodies kitchen along with contemplating sanctions...

What? Stop the flow of kerosene or Oranges into Iran?

First we try "Diplomacy" and tell them our intentions for 24 hours. No Results?

How about we pick a city where we know the groups of terrorists are training, have ammo and hideouts and level it!

Killing everything that moves with one attack (They already think nothing of killing some of their own to make the 6pm REUTER's REPORT.) We can help!

Still no results? No capitulation? We pick another city of tens of thousands and level it. Terrorists, their women, children, ammunition dump, goats, innocent bystanders whatever, just brush them off the planet like a bad case of head lice!

There are those that will say that we don't want to stoop to THAT level (or rather THEIR level)

but you know Saddam once said, "The USA couldn't deal with it because they can't stand the blood!" He was right, but in order to get the attention of those that bathe and revel in the blood of Americans we've got to drench the sands of the Middle East red with their blood until they "Get it"!

Whether it was a Republican or Democrat Administration or Congress, the banks were “forced” by congress via B. Frank and Chris Dodds to loan to home buyers on the low end of the pay scale that couldn’t afford it. They eliminated the banks ability to check background, income and pay record before loaning money toward a home.
Theoretically, someone who made $45,000 per year could buy a property valued at $250,000 with no hope of making a $2,000 a month loan payment.

The only thing that Conrad Black did not cover was that the genesis of the sub-prime fiasco, General bank screw-up and the subsequent recession was "The community re-investment act" signed into law by that idiot Carter on ) October 12 1977. This act REQUIRED that Goverment agencies, Financial institutions, including the Banks, disregard years of time tested lending practices and start making "Ninja" loans (No income, No job, No assets), to all and sundry. All the subsequent Presidents failed to take action to repeal this nonsensical act. Both of the Bush's warned that trouble would ensue if no action was taken to repeal or ammend it. Now the glib Mr. Obama is planning to penalize and punish the banking industry for the democrat's original mistake. I think that someone should tell Obama that he should be more concerned about where the buck stops and less about passing it.

That being the case, the banks bundled these “no-hope” loans into packages and sold them to others by taking the very risky loans and moving them out of their hands.
(And who could blame them!)
Any business, whether a car dealer, drug dealer or someone selling 2nd grade tin to 3rd world countries, would get rid of the not-up-to-quality product somehow. Slashing prices---Buy As Is---Buy one get one free or bundling a lot of them up (some good & some bad) and selling it as investment to get the money back.

Now today (1/20/2010) we get this administration blaming the banks and bonuses for the financial mess that is so rampant now.
Using the same ludicrous rhetoric that this President continually spews we now have the inept with their hands in the financial industry, Wall Street and the trouble starters Fanny & Freddie, still in business as usual!

Everything that comes out of the mouth of the top-tier Dems is suspect...
(and anybody that buys into the hucksterism is just not caring about the USA.)

(It's still a Democrat congress after all so I guess he's actually, in his elusive way, trying to pass the buck again) The bill wouldn't be in question nor would the feds have to "monitor it closely" if this Administration and DEMOCRAT laden congress would have just MONITORED THE BORDERS!

2008 Post election Rant

The election of 2008 held historical significance in spite of the insipid outcome.

Of course the country was ready for a President that didn't fit the mold of bygone political eras... black, Oriental, female, Hispanic, or "other". It should have come into being long before 2008.

I was stunned into shocked disbelief, when in Oklahoma the first time in 1961, at seeing the segregated drinking fountains, restaurants and sections of towns and of being arrested when I was leaving a club on the "wrong" side of town after playing and told by the local police, "We don't want your kind around here!"

I too was elated and inspired by Martin Luther King and many others in the Civil Rights Era. Black pride is a wonderful thing!

My problem with this election has nothing to do with ethnicity!

What bothers me the most is the fact that, because of his associations and connections, Obama probably couldn't get a job as a night watchman at a Savings & Loan.

Ethics and good character started going downhill, in the not so distant past, when we began electing presidents NOT by what they could bring to the table in domestic and foreign wisdom but by whether they looked good on camera and had charisma. Without delving into ALL those elected after the advent of mass advertising of the candidates through televised debates and political commercials, Kennedy and Clinton come readily to mind.

Those phony "town hall debates" of 2008 with filtered questions and flattering or unflattering camera angles were just more "couch potato" fodder.

This has gone down the all-American path of instant gratification, billboard advertising, fast-food, if-it-feels-good-do-it, anything goes societal bog.

The dumbing down of America as it were. We let "Saturday Night Live" help choose the winner because that's as close to the issues that the majority of Obama voters ever got!

As far as I know we are the only country with "All-you-can-eat" buffets, families blankly watching "Dancing With the Stars" or "Survivor" re-runs and a system that absolves fault. We have attention spans so short as to be nearly non-existent...a population that in a recent poll over 60% said they would rather watch a travel video of Yellowstone Park than to actually be there and see it in person.

For whatever reason, apathy, Acorn, or abhorrence of President Bush, we let the decision of who would be leader of the greatest country in the world be chosen by college students and the lowest end of the economic scale dreaming of another "$$-in-the-mail" buyout (neither of whom have ever had a tax burden) along with Utopian dreamers who think the world would be a garden if everybody just got along!

Add those to the others who didn't want to be thought of as racist if they didn't vote for Obama.

(Do you think they know that NOT voting for McCain because he's an older white man is racism too?)

With all the above and the guiltiest of all, the lemmings that only honed in on the word "CHANGE" (with nothing to back it up except "Spreading the wealth by adding more tax on the successful".) we get all these clueless followers banded together in adoration to follow this political avalanche over the cliff.

For what it's worth they've given up something that works (and has, with it's ups and downs since 1776) to try something that sounds good, i.e. "CHANGE"!

This election and adoration of Obama reminds me of just how low the IQ of this country has sunk...This is NOT the people of a country who 250 years ago went to the barricades to fight a crack British Army practically shoeless, in the Winter with stones, bricks and pitch forks.

Dear Congressman,

The latest Legislative Update is as depressing to read as I'm sure it is in "real life" Washington, D.C. these days.

As evidenced by your missive we've bureaucratized ourselves into massive gridlock by trying to level the playing field for everyone in the world and when we start grading "on the curve" at home everybody turns out average.

We've lost our spiritual foundation along with the work ethic that made the USA and it is folly to prolong this method of entitlement life for all.

Being in the music business for over 50 years, I learned early on that if everyone had an equal voice in the decision making, we wouldn't be able to decide what color socks we should wear on a given night. There has to be a voice of reason even in a Democracy. Here truly is where less is more.

We are living at a time when anything goes.

We are living in an age of treason.

( Treason: #3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery. )

We are in an age where we oppress the good and elevate the bad: right or wrong, work or shirk, God-loving or atheist, believer or agnostic, Patriot or anarchist, Democracy or entitlement state...

We have been given larger and larger doses of it for so long it's accepted as the "only way", i.e. The "thinking elite" way!

Movies and TV (nearly every person's mental escape valves) have pounded into us on a daily basis that good is bad and bad is fine if that's your preference.

The fact that a flying American flag offends someone in the USA is a sickening thought, but the fact that one person (or persons) can claim his sensitivities were in turmoil enough to go to court to get it removed tells so much more. The court even having to make a decision in favor of removal (or not) takes a darker step into the abyss of "politically correct" morass.

I, for one, am offended by many things I see.

Do I then have the right to go to court to have them remove all commercials from TV, radio and billboards? Those disgusting ads for adhesives to hold in false teeth that are aired right at the dinner hour? Stomach distress goop sold in vivid pink with a full contingent of burping actors to prove the distress?

Canines wrecking the house for "fake bacon"?

Can I stop those hideous political advertisements where they lie to our face about their platform... What they'll do once they're elected... Likewise, a President surrounding himself with power "czars" that can make decisions benefitting their ideas and beliefs without having to account for their actions!

This, too, offends me.

I know there are many of us offended by loud guitar playing!

...By Wanda Sykes ...Barney Frank...Joan Rivers...Robert Gibbs...the ACLU...Michael Moore laughing all the way to his bank in Switzerland... These are all very offensive to many!

Most importantly they offend me!

Al Gore and his superiority stance of "do as I say, not as I do" credo and his "made up" science...judges who let pedophiles and wife beaters off with a light sentence and this Government's complete disregard of the American people.

Can I have them removed please?

If one person can get a Cross taken down in the desert, then 10,000 carnivores and a meat-eating judge should be able to take down the ads for vegetarian restaurants---cookbooks off the shelves, et al... conversely and evidently one vegetarian can cause enough problems to get beef or any meat removed from menus in schools across the country. Coming soon to a public school near you: meatless Mondays!

I'm not trying to be judgmental here, I'm just saying.

What is getting my anger in gear is taking the freedoms that built this country and dismantling them to where we're on an equal footing with the 3rd world. Allowing us to be man-handled into the Government solving every person's problems and removing the incentives to live a life to the fullest...

When I see those in government, both locally and in Washington, spend and tax and come up each day with new ways to spend and tax—health care, cap and trade, etc.—I think: Why aren't they worried about the impact of what they're doing? The only sane rule of thumb in Washington should be popular support and a bipartisan majority, before approving an initiative that significantly affects tens of millions of Americans.

If millions of citizens are upset---offended---disturbed---and feel like this Administration is way out of their jurisdiction for changing the Constitution, holding behind-closed-door meetings to ram-rod unpopular bills through by hook or crook and twisting facts and figures into outright lies to "FORCE" their agenda on us, then we too can, under the ever-popular

"I'M OFFENDED BY fill in blank " mantra, kick their collective aloof, conspiratorial, conniving, lying asses

(an 'ass' being their chosen mascot!) out of Government.

I don't mean impeachment!

I'm offended by a president being elected on his lies and smoke and mirrors!

I'm offended that this President is either certifiably inept or purposefully destroying America.

I'm offended by this Administration bribing their own party members with tax dollars to get the vote on Obamacare!

I'm offended by their party members knowingly taking Federal bribes to vote on things that are against what the majority of their own constituents want.

These glib, thankless pinheads with hands outstretched and reaching for a tip, like a doorman at a strip club, are elected to represent the people.

They are not elected to rewrite the rules, they're supposed to represent us!

The pipe dream of "Mister Smith Goes to Washington" has been shoved aside by "The Chicago Mafia does Washington"!

A military coup is too good for the likes of this band of oligarchs...

I'm thinking more along the lines of the townspeople heading to Dr. Frankenstein's castle with lanterns and pitchforks with serious upheaval on their minds!

...and marching Reid, Pelosi, Obama, and others with their "Superiority Complex", as in the old days of corrupt politicians or carpetbaggers being caught, tarring and feathering them... setting them on horses backwards and whipping the horses to run them out of town.

Then we re-light the torches and head for those that are trying to re-write our developing History…
